Q.   What is the significance of the lamb on the Messiah Revealed homepage banner?
A.   Just as in the ancient Hebrew Levitical offerings a lamb was used as a substitutionary sacrifice to God to pay for sins (Leviticus chapters 4-7), so Jesus was offered as our substitute for our sins. The lamb had to be perfect and "without blemish," so Jesus as the Holy Son of God was without sin. In John 1:29, upon seeing Jesus, John the Baptist says; "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." And in Matthew 20:28 Jesus says; "Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many." The use of a lamb as a sacrifice for sin was a foreshadowing of God's ultimate plan. See The Messiah's Mission Would be Salvation for more on this topic.

Q.   Why do you use the King James Version for the quotes from the Bible?

A.   There are presently 305 prophecies and fulfillments listed (as of December 8, 2001). This number may change based on continued research.
